Cappie Pondexter was honored at Rutgers University at halftime for winning gold in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing with the US women’s basketball team. Pondexter was presented with a commemorative medal and a standing ovation for her many achievements since her departure from Rutgers.  These accolades include 2007 WNBA Finals MVP, 2007 WNBA All-Star & 2006 WNBA All-Star as well as International awards.
